It’s impossible to spend summer vacation without a beach towel. They take it with them to the pool, to the sea or to the river. Used as a mat for sunbathing, they wipe the body after bathing and wrap up chilled children.
The main qualities that beach towels should have are the following:
— high hygroscopicity (moisture absorption);
— soft fabric structure;
— color fastness;
— ease of care.
The material for this type of product is usually three types of fabrics: bamboo, terry and velour. Particular attention should be paid to the length of the pile, which should be short, not exceeding 3 mm.
A double-sided towel is the best option. On the terry side, you can calmly rest, and wipe yourself off with the gentle velor side after water procedures.
Beach towels shouldn’t be too small, but very large items can be difficult to wear to the beach every day.
Beach towel length should be about 2/3 of the person’s height. Standard sizes are 140 × 70, 150 × 75, 150 × 100
