Today everyone has at least one denim item in their wardrobe. Denim jackets and jeans have been worn by gold miners all over California, farmers, Wild West cowboys, feminists, hippies, punks, Hollywood stars like Marlon Brando, tycoons, US presidents and great minds including Albert Einstein himself. And I personally associate jeans with the Levi’s brand
Levi’s (Levis) — American brand, under whose name the world’s first jeans were created and patented. It specializes in the production of men’s, women’s and children’s clothing, footwear and accessories. Since 2007, it has also been producing mobile phones. The brand’s trademark is denim clothing. The company is the founder of the Levi Strauss Foundation (1952). For 2013, Levi’s is part of the Levi Strauss & Co.
Levi once had a lot of unsold canvas, which was often used to make tents at that time. He went with his goods to the gold diggers. The miners began to complain that they did not need tents — they lacked good pants, as they wipe quickly, and also that they had nowhere to put the nuggets. In a nearby mountain village, Levi found a tailor and ordered him to sew strong canvas pants with large pockets.
At the end of the 1850s. Levy began to order fabric for the manufacture of pants in France, in the city of Nîmes. The indigo-colored fabric was distinguished by the diagonal weave of threads and was called «twill». Soon, gold miners began to call it denim (serge de Nimes).
And in 1928, Levi Strauss & Co began to present clothes under the Levi’s trademark.
How to choose jeans?
Fit — This is the first thing worth paying attention to. There are three main types of fit for denim pants:

* High rise — just above the natural waistline. This landing has recently been very popular with girls. Due to the increased interest in such models, they were even singled out in a separate section on the site.
* Medium rise — below the waist. This is the most common choice for any body type. Low rise — on the hips. Today, not only girls, but also men are interested in such a landing. Low rice is popular mainly among young people.

Overall silhouette — This is the second thing to decide on. Whether you want the chosen pair to sit tightly on you, or freely, or maybe you are a fan of the classics.
*Regular / Original — such a pair will fit snugly in the belt and have a straight leg cut, you can call it a classic of the genre;

*Relaxed — a loose fit that does not hinder movement, usually with a fit on the hips;

* Loose — even looser than the previous ones, very wide, baggy;

*Boyfriend — an exclusively feminine silhouette that gives the impression that the girl took to wear jeans from her boyfriend;

*Slim — such a pair will be tailored exactly to the figure, not too tight, emphasizing all the curves;

*Athletic — for men who spend a lot of time in the gym, in this version the emphasis is on the cut for the developed hips;
*Wide Leg — denim trousers with very wide legs;
*Mom Jean — a vintage silhouette from the 80s or 90s, as if you took your mom to wear jeans;
*Curvy — for curvy girls, made of stretchy material, seductively emphasize all the curves of the body;

Girls choosing clothes from size 16 can see all available models and silhouettes in the “Plus” section. And tall and / or large men will find clothes suitable for their body size by going to the “Big & Tall” tab.
